The Reason I Smile

Samantha Samuels had just finished her freshman year of high school when she discovered her boyfriend of a year was cheating on her. His betrayal throws Samantha down a spiral of anger, depression, and loss of trust. As time passes, Samantha only gets worse and worse until she seems set in her mind state without any hope of being how she used to.

Luke Lucky is new in town, his family recently moved due to his father’s new position at a law firm. Already behind and suffering from problems with his father, Luke fails to be optimistic about his new life. He doesn’t want to be the new kid and start over halfway through his high school career. Together, the two of them help each other through problems the encounter on the road. Their journey brings them closer, giving each a person they can depend and trust through thick and thin. As they continue on, they fall in love and become each others reason to smile.
