Sour Apples

An early third millennium comedic play takes place in a gated community outside Santa Fe. A small press female book editor is interviewing a male prospective sub-editor, the two beginning their winter-holidays encounter while drinking Sour Apple cocktails. Serially, Hispanic interior housepainters, a 70-something Russian retired ballet dancer, an aging Native American gem salesman, and the editor’s college student daughter arrive for a variety of work or holiday adventures. As the play evolves, fueled by Sour Apples or the smoking of certain aromatic plants, no character turns out to be as she or he originally seems…
