The initial Lord Ogma adventure novel. During the Vietnam War, the hero, James Haygood, a multiple combat tour army officer is recruited as a personal covert agent for Presidents Johnson and Nixon. While a paratroop commander and later an aviation commander, Haygood, code name Lord Ogma, carries-out special clandestine presidential missions in what GI language calls the “Republic Of.” The novel follows Haygood through his military war years both in the combat zones and in America between combat tours.
