“Praying for hostages takes a lot of thought. How do we pray for the hostages? What are the most effective and powerful prayers for them and for their families who are suffering as second degree hostages? What about prayers for the entire country feeling hostage? What about prayers for the soldiers who are basically stuck in their tanks for weeks at a time, and living with constant fear and trauma? And, what about the entire Jewish world?
When we are praying for the hostages; all types and all levels, we are praying for Tikkun Olam. This small effort is to strategize, not just ways to rescue the hostages, but ways to rescue them, and all of us, in a way that will lead us closer to Tikkun Olam; the time of the Mashiach.”
