Monsoons: A collection of stories and art, created by Filipino-Americans

Author: Archi Arboleda
ISBN: 979-8-88831-099-1

Comprising of a collaboration of Filipino-American artists, Monsoons tells the many complicated relationships one may have with their cultural identity.

Many artists in our first collection have roots or even originated from the many islands that make up our Motherland. However, through fiction, non-fiction short stories, prose, poetries, journals, and graphic arts reveal the struggles and love that come with fulling realizing that having mixed cultures does not make you more or less of the other. Whether or not you’re deeply rooted in your culture or have a strained relationship with it, those stories are valid and true.

We hope these stories hurt you, heal you–and most importantly, we hope you see yourself reflected in them.

Ingat ka, ha?
