Joe the Squab

A delicate domesticated finch falls out of her gilded cage as her owners are moving. Flying for the first time, she lands on a dumpster in the middle of Philadelphia. She meets Joe-a gritty, wise-ass, feathers-missing pigeon. Joe teaches her how to survive when no one is taking care of you. He’s endearing, resembles Frank Rizzo and patiently teaches her how to be a city bird. An event happens…and suddenly she’s not missing being “owned” and becomes a city bird.
