High Power HF Filter Design with Applications to SO2R

After setting the stage for filters in general, the major building blocks for lumped element filters are reviewed in detail. Specific attention is given to their voltage and current capabilities and how to size them appropriately for the task of operation at approximately 2 KW. Multiple transform techniques are described with the greatest emphasis on use of the Norton Transformation and JK filter realizations. Two chapters highlight every detail of a design for a 40m bandpass filter and a 15m bandpass filter. The two approaches are considerably different. Approximately two-thirds of the text is geared toward a capable Extra class licensee with prior building experience while the last third of the book contains many detailed explanations and derivations for the approaches contained in the first part of the book.
