The monograph is dedicated to a very urgent problem of pediatric cardiology – essential arterial hypertension in children. Numerous scientific and applied research and practical developments on aspects of risk factors, course, and diagnostics of essential arterial hypertension in children have been analyzed and summarized. Special emphasis was placed on clinical-laboratory, immunological and instrumental methods to diagnose endothelial dysfunction in the formation of essential arterial hypertension in children. The presented data expand the understanding of the mechanisms of realization of the process of stable hypertension formation at the level of endothelium vessels, vegetative nervous system, and immune system in children. We recommended diagnostic criteria for endothelium-dependent risk factors of essential arterial hypertension formation in children based on associations of clinical, hemodynamic and immunological parameters. These diagnostic criteria allow systematizing diagnostic and therapeutic and prophylactic measures in relation to the studied problem on the level of primary health care.
