Sometimes the line between good and evil can be blurred. A middle-class suburban housewife who babysits her grandkids, chats with her neighbors and lives an unassuming life is considered “good”. The young man who forces his way into her home one evening – “evil”. When we dig down into the truth however, neither judgement is 100% correct. Judgments seldom are. Traumatic life events play a huge part in who we become and how the good and evil within us is manifested in our lives.
As Though We Didn’t Exist is a story about good and evil, pain and redemption and the recurring, wounding impact of seemingly insignificant actions. It’s a story about how a simple sentence, one almost immediately forgotten by the speaker, can change the trajectory of another person’s life.
