There is nothing new under the sun when discussing implicit bias. We have new terms to define and describe human behavior that has been prevalent for centuries. We research, conduct group studies all leading to the same findings, humans hold implicit biases which manifest in sundry ways. As educators and researchers we must continue to understand how biased attitudes negatively influence group and personal relations; however, we must not overlook how organizational culture might promote behaviors people bring to the job and transfer to the work environment, creating an unfavorable branding of the organization.
