A Tale of Girithiens Book one: Whisper of The Owlens Instrument

In the season of Anumbra, a time when the moon never sleeps, the voices in the wind speak the loudest to those troubled by their past. This is a matter Selian Cornelius must endure with just one memory of his childhood, and that memory stalks him in the shape of a peculiar little girl that lurks in the shadows of his mind. As a young man working as a catcher for an old shopkeeper, his nightly work revolves around trapping traces of wisps in the cursed town of Whittlestone, a place where even a step on cobblestoned cracks could cause a lasting pain in his back. But it would be a simple night of cleaning the attic that would change his life forever, encountering a strange feathered book belonging to an Owl spirit lost to time.  With Selian’s touch, the voices from his past would awaken the spirit of the  Owlen along with its curse, afflicting Selian with its feathered essence, granting him its voice, and turning him into living proof of a fabled rumor spoken only by tale tellers, a Whisperer.

With the affliction of the Owlen looming, deciphering its whispers will reveal a dark truth behind the presence of the little girl haunting his memories. A truth that will lead Selian to a journey through a mysterious and mystical land crafted by the spirits, and a war between secret families of whisperers that fought for generations to claim the power of a Girithien.
