Guilford County's First Elected Black Sheriff

Fulfilling a childhood dream, Danny H. Rogers ran for the office of Sheriff in North Carolina’s Guilford County. After a loss to a long-time incumbent, he ran a second time and became the first elected Black Sheriff. Undertaking an ambitious agenda, he was re-elected to a second term and worked diligently to lead an office to serve the citizens in Guilford County.
