The authority of Jesus Christ is, without a doubt, absent from many of our churches today. God’s pulpits have been replaced with the wisdom of men, which is foolishness to God. Not only are the pulpits themselves void of the authority that Jesus said He would give, but also most of the counsel administered to families and individuals behind the pastor’s and minister’s closed doors. There is a strong reliance on our common sense or the practicality of Christianity instead of God’s word. Am I trying to cast stones? Not at all. I’m speaking the outright truth regarding the condition of many churches across America.
