WHERE WHAT WHY God's Image

Author: Thomas M. Golz

Tom Golz, the author, kept hearing, “You’re in God’s image,” “You’re in God’s image,” so he finally decided to go exploring! Since the Image Tom was looking for was “of” God, or as God said, “as likeness of us,” it certainly did makes sense to explore what He wanted from the beginning to show us about Himself, BEFORE we look at us “in God’s image.” And God did WANT to show us Himself. Romans 1:19, 20 says: “For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”

So, where is that image defined? What exactly is the definition? Tom started his exploration in the New Testament, and the definition was NOT there! The vast majority of the Old Testament yielded the same negative result. If the definition was somehow found in only the first two chapters of Genesis as Old Testament eliminations indicated, then this would require a very careful step by step analysis! This booklet shares the surprising answer to what he found. Nothing less than exactly WHERE the definition of God’s Image is found, WHAT was so important to God to show us right from the beginning about Himself, and WHY it benefits us to have an “upfront” revelation of His divine nature and motive for everything.
