First of two volumes of an anthology of short stories by Puerto Rican writer J. Delgado Figueroa, written between 1975 and 2022, included in the author’s collections and in literary magazines in the United States. The stories’ themes are the ones that characterize this author’s literary produc-tion: the toxicity of hypocrisy, social banality, cruelty, political corruption, racial injustice and homophobia due to machismo in his culture. Literary editor Javier Toro-Boland selected the sto-ries in the anthology.
