Seventy Resolutions by the Young Jonathan Edwards: Explained and Applied

His story starts with a promising and intelligent college student who stands by his dying grandfather (Pastor Richard Edwards) and hears the words: “I trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and I desire to do so more and more” (Murray). This impacted the young Edwards and, eventually, he too was converted.
The American religious roots are owed to countless scholars and preachers, but no one surpasses Johnathan Edwards (1703-1758), arguably among the brightest minds ever produced in the New World. Edwards studied and led at Yale, served as a faithful pastor-scholar, became catalyst for the first Great Awakening and was appointed as the Third President of Princeton University.
