Slow Boat to Paradise

Second novel in the Lord Ogma adventure series. James Pascal Haygood, retired metropolitan police chief, aka Lord Ogma, undertakes a three month Inter Costal Waterway cruise with his First Mate, Anne Tillis. Haygood is convinced to return to the part-time covert service of POTUS. During the voyage, several presidential clandestine missions are undertaken and several former missions for former presidents are remembered. After the cruise, there is trouble with a suspicious FBI, a fatal encounter with Chinese agents, and a reunion with a former lover… who now happens to be the Chinese Minister of Intelligence. It all amounts to a typical tale of the activities of a presidential operative fondly known as “Sh**-for-Brains.”
