A Ship Called Abigail

After widowhood, Harris Wimberly begins to realize that life alone is not meant for him. But how to go about finding the right woman to marry and live the rest of his life with? Anna Forth is widowed as well. Raising a teen age son who she believes needs a father figure in his life, and of course aware of her own loneliness and desire for love, she is faced with the same question. How to find the right man to become her husband and be a dad to her son?

Set in a Steampunk world of steam vehicles, airships and other lighter than air craft, a different kind of dress, a world not quite our own, the Harris and Anna seek God’s guidance, not knowing that somewhere out there, each is looking for the other. And they do meet.

They are not the only ones who have suffered loss due to the death of a spouse. A lighter than air ship was the dream of someone else. That ship had a destiny. Now it sits still undergoing construction but without purpose for the inspiration died with the death of the lady named Abigail.

As Harris and Anna found that love can live again following widowhood, will the ship dream be restored to life and will the ship finally fulfill the dream the creator had and will there be a second chance at love?

This a novel of love found after loss, the return to faith and trusting in God to see us through life’s sorrows and to bring healing. It is a Christian themed novel but it is not sectarian nor denominational.
